My experiment...
Intro:
I love a nice cup of hot water or tea. I have 2 Thermos carafes on the counter for hot water and hot (anything else) I have bought about 4 different whistling teapots in order to get the coffee (french press) and tea, carafes and what ever else going in the morning. Although now we use a MR Coffee. Why 4? because the advertised 3 qts. are usually 2 ? . When they don't measure up I box them back up and give as presents.

THE EXPERIMENT
BUT, now I am trying...making my full pot of boiling water and placing it in the well, lid off,( won't fit on because of handle) and keeping it warm from the pilot light. The temp is dropping, but not too fast and still hot to drink, and hotter (so far) than a thermos...V
